From Fox Foto to Kate Brown Photography
The Restoration Process
It's been a wild and amazing ride with the restoration process of my new photography studio, Kate Brown Photography! Nestled in a stunning downtown 105-year-old building that once housed the iconic Fox Foto from the 1950s to the 1990s, this journey has been filled with nostalgia and creativity. Collaborating with Anthony Construction was a dream, as they expertly guided me through every step, ensuring that we preserved the historical charm while transforming the space into my vision of a dream studio. From original woodwork of the ceiling beams to vintage fixtures, each element tells a story, and I can't wait to create stunning imagery in this beautiful blend of the past and present!
Some treasure finds!
Bathroom Remodel
In our latest project, we transformed a cramped restroom that was barely larger than a small closet into a spacious, ADA-compliant facility, thanks to the support of the City of Elko and an infrastructure grant that made this dream a reality. With the creative vision of Sarah from CanyonCasa, who expertly selected beautiful wallpaper and fixtures, we were able to create a welcoming, functional space that meets the needs of all visitors. This collaboration not only enhances accessibility but also adds a vibrant touch to the environment, showcasing the positive impact of community partnerships in improving public facilities.
My Amazing Crew
Spent 4 hours mucking out so much shelving, SO much shelving! 3 trailers full of just shelving and 3 trailers full to the dump and this was after the initial clearout from the contractors.
