Soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. Bowen!
Our Love Story
"On February 2nd, 2018 I went to a doctor and found out that I was pregnant… at 18 years old. I was scared, being so young, but it made me realize that I was not in a place that I was supposed to be. Leaving the situation, and person, that I was with; I moved back home to Spring Creek to get into a better environment for me, and the unborn child that I was now carrying. At that time I didn’t know exactly what was right, but it turned out to be the best decision I have ever made.
Shortly after I got home, my ex went back to prison… again… and I knew right then that he wasn’t supposed to be a part of mine, or my daughters, life. The first thing I did was start looking for jobs. I needed to be able to support my daughter and give her everything that she needs. In October of 2018, I had my beautiful daughter, Lybertee. I named her that because of the freedom she gave me from a life I wasn’t supposed to be in. I fell head over heals in love with her as soon as i seen her, and knew at this point it was going to be hard to find someone else to be in her life as a father that would treat her, and love her the way she deserved. At this point I never thought it was going to happen… I never thought I would find someone who would love me, having a child, and love her at the same time… unconditionally.
A couple months after she was born I started to get back in touch with old friends from high school the I haven’t seen in a while; Brennan was one of those people. Before I left Spring Creek we had known each other for a while and became really good friends. Too much of my surprise, when I asked him to come hangout and meet Lybertee, he said yes! The way he was towards me, and how good he treated Lybertee, I knew he was someone I could trust with her, and with me. It seemed like we were together always after that. We would go run stupid errands in town and It would be a good time; or we would just be hanging out at the house having a blast. I knew, I just knew he was going to be the man that I married, and the man that became Lybertee’s dad. His family accepted me and Lybertee as if we have been a part of the family since the beginning. Everything just felt right, the pieces were falling into place.
September of 2019, we went on a trip to Idaho with Brennan’s dads side of the family. We were camping off the St. Joe river, and going on beautiful rides every day for about a week. at the end of the trip is when he proposed. We were near Lewiston, Idaho, overlooking the whole City just after sunset. the sky was still slightly bright and the wind was terrible, but it was an amazing view, and an absolutely beautiful proposal.
The wedding is set for Mid September and it can’t come soon enough. We are both excited to be able to begin the rest of our lives together. It will be another new beginning with multiple opportunities. We can’t wait to expand our family and work towards our goals together to create the best opportunities for us and our children. The possibilities are endless and the memories that will be created are exciting to think about."
