Soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. Matt Wilson!
Matt and I met 2 years ago at a barbeque at a mutual friend’s home. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the barbeque was set up by Matt just so that he could meet me. We talked and laughed the entire night and ended up going home around 4am. I don’t believe in “love at first sight”, but that night I knew I had found someone special.
From then on, our love for each other and for the great outdoors grew. Most of our best stories involve us fishing or hunting; like the time I dropped my phone (in a case that held my driver’s license and credit cards) down an ice fishing hole and Matt valiantly recovered it with just some fishing line and a very large lure. (He still won’t let me live that down).
We had been together for a while and had discussed getting married long before I agreed to move in with Matt, so I really doubted he’d be able to pull off a surprise proposal. However, I was completely oblivious when he asked me to go hiking up to Liberty Lake with him to go fly-fishing. He had me trying my hand at catching a fish (I am REALLY bad at fly-fishing) while he “was looking for another lure”. In reality, he was getting the engagement ring out and setting up his phone camera to capture the special moment. The next thing I knew, Matt was on one knee and I honestly don’t know if I waited for him to ask the question before I said “Yes.”
We are both so excited to see what new adventures the future holds for us!
Matt & Christy- At our initial meeting to go over the details of your wedding day, I knew we clicked. Then, after capturing you two dancing the night away at the Olson wedding, I knew you were going to be a blast to work with! Thank you for being willing to travel all the way up this gorgeous mountain and letting me capture some epic engagement images for you two! I'm excited to be working with you throughout the year!
